Marketing and Illustrating Assistant

Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, designs and develops publicity and marketing material such as fliers, posters, brochures, other printed materials and other related materials. Is the official photographer for activity functions and for any special requests approved by the supervisor. Identifies and acquires job related requirements for equipment, supplies, and software. Prepares posters, static displays and other advertising products. Updates information on the Force Support website; edits Force Support informational e-mail and all other publications. Assists with proper distribution of publicity materials. Represents Force Support at newcomers' briefings, first term airmen briefings, spouses' orientations, and all other public speaking venues. Performs limited market research using focus groups and surveys, provides data to activity managers. Assists with employment of proper publicity tools, including (but not limited to) the FSS website, e-mails, base bulletin, slides, posters, flyers, banners, road signs, monitor ads, the MWR bi-monthly magazine, and all social media outlets to effectively advertise facility events and inform the public about program availability. Assists with event planning. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience: Must have responsible work experience which provides a general knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing, special events, public relations, and advertising. Responsible experience in illustrating/graphic design. Ability to prepare promotional materials for LAN distribution via e-mail. Ability to design and prepare layout for printing. Experience in computer graphics with Adobe Design Software (knowledge of most current version is desirable) and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of correspondence, formats, grammar and spelling. Bachelor's degree in drawing, painting, art or graphics may be substituted for required experience. Position is position of trust. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. A portfolio is requested during interview. Subject to an irregular tour of duty to include nights and weekends. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
