For over 70 years, Lompoc Valley Medical Center has proudly served the Lompoc Valley community, helping expectant mothers welcome their little ones into the world. We have six state-of-the-art Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) suites and a cutting-edge cesarean operating room. LVMC's Birthing Center has earned the highest recognition from Beta Risk Management and Safety for its commitment to quality improvement. We are also a Nationally Certified Safe Sleep Hospital through Cribs for Kids.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and newborns throughout the birthing process and postpartum period.
Responsibilities:
Assist with labor and delivery procedures
Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs
Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families
Perform postpartum assessments and care for newborns
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Successfully completes OB BETA Risk Initiative assignments, upon determined deadline.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in CA
BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
S.T.A.B.L.E certification recommended
Completion of (AWHONN) or (ACOG) endorsed Fetal Monitoring course that includes National Institute of Child Health Development (NICHD) nomenclature within three months of hire, to be renewed every year.
